Rent Chairs for Wedding Receptions, Parties, Business Meetings and Special Events
About the only thing worse than running out of food and drink is not having enough chairs for your guests. You can’t exactly ask them to share chairs, and sitting cross-legged on the ground just isn’t an option for anyone over the age of 10. Wouldn’t it be great if you could sit back and relax knowing MadFoxParty will make sure you have an ample supply of chairs?
Of course, it would.
Our chairs range from molded plastic bistro chairs to the classic white folding wooden chairs seen to the right, as well as decorative fanback chairs. We also have padded meeting chairs suitable for corporate events. Whatever your occasion, we have a chair for it.
Choosing a chair style is usually a pretty straightforward matter and probably not something you’ll lie awake at night worrying about, but if you have any questions we are always happy to be of assistance. Just not at 2:30 am.
Even though we specialize in event tent rentals, our chairs and tables are available for indoor events as well. Let us know what sort of event you’re planning and we can help you make a decision on how many chairs you’ll need and which are best suited for indoor use.
Who Sets Up The Chairs?
Customers often ask us if we set up the chairs for their event. We do not. When we deliver the chairs for your event, we will stack them near where you intend to set them up. Usually, this means under the tent you've rented. If you have a large event planned, you will likely need to recruit some friends to help set up the chairs. When your event is over, you will need to stack the chairs in the same place we left them.

Chair Rental Tip: Set Up Chairs The Day Of Your Event
It may be tempting to set up the chairs for your event a day early, but if there is a lot of pollen in the air (June wedding, anyone?) your guests will get it all over their clothes. Also, if your chairs are not covered by a tent, you run the risk of birds, ahem, doing their thing on your chairs. Whenever possible, we highly recommend setting up chairs on the day of the event, not a day or two ahead of time.
Although we deliver your chairs clean and ready for use, we recommend you have a few cleaning towels or a feather duster handy in case you need to dust off pollen or wipe off rain from an unexpected downpour.
The Surprising Connection Between Billiards and Molded Plastic Chairs
Believe it or not, the modern molded plastic chair owes its origin to billiards. You see, back in the 19th century when billiards was all the rage, the balls were made from elephant ivory. The game was so popular that manufacturers couldn't source enough elephant tusks, especially since only two or three balls could be made from one tusk. One enterprising ball manufacturer offered a cash prize for anyone who could come up with an acceptable synthetic substitute. American inventor John Wesley Hyatt took on the challenge, and in 1869 developed celluloid (a thermoplastic).
Although the early celluloid balls were highly combustible, the material was refined to the point where balls could be safely made from it and Hyatt won the prize. Of course, plastics evolved at a fast pace thereafter, finding applications not just in billiards but in countless everyday items...including chairs.
